A house owner told me that the landslide occurred at around 4 am. His parking area was filled mud and some of his tenants's car were even damaged by the landslide. As the construction of a building is going on above his house, the loose soil had dumped down which forced the soil to move down after heavy downpour.
The good news is that we can prevent such mishap, if we have a proper drainage system. If your building is built in a hilly area, I think you need to work on a proper drainage system. Just constructing house blindly is not enough. If you have stagnant water around your building, please get rid of it. Stagnant water is not only dangerous for our health but sometimes it can cause landslide too.
